The action consists in spending a working day on an empty pedestal, replacing a bronze portrait of Fernando Pessoa, previously toppled by a branch during a storm. Rather than producing artistic objects without any practical aim, I fulfilled the role of the monument, sitting on the pedestal and observing the surroundings. A self-published booklet, freely-distributed, presents a selection of notes from that day.
